Mission Statement

Our goal at High Country Cattle Services is to identify superior cow families and combine them to produce a reliable and functional product that will benefit the breed and cattle industry. High Country Cattle Services is owned and operated by Rob & Deanne Young.

We have been Simmental breeders for 32 years.  Rob grew up on a farming operation in central Alberta.  First operating as a dairy and then switching over to a beef operation with both purebred Angus and Horned Hereford cattle.  This is where he learned the need for functional cows with soundness, structural correctness and strong udders.

Deanne grew up on a Simmental operation in southern Alberta.  Her family became involved in the Simmental industry when they first came to Canada.  Together we have grown  and changed with the Simmental breed.

Today  High Country Cattle Services  uses all tools available in our quest for breed improvement and customer service.  Our success is based on our customers success. Contact us to discuss the advancement of yours and our Simmental Genetics.
